I was reading about the success of one of the most useful social networking sites available,Linked-in.Today it has about 38 million users and are adding about one new member every second. It was motivating to find that Reid Hoffman the CEO is a Stanford Alum .Some points to take were his emphasis on being competent in these fast times. You have to think yourself as an organism competing with other organisms in the eco system. The world is accelerating not for Microsoft's and Google;it's accelerating for individuals and their careers, and in that acceleration its all about adapting quickly.Hoffman says"The trick to do well with these things is to be in a place where people are saying ,Hey ,that's a crazy ass Idea".
It was motivating to find that their new VC of operations is Deepchand Nishar who was the Director of Wireless Products at Google, Deepchand Nishar develops and implements the product strategy for Google's mobile products worldwide. Prior to Google, Deep worked at Siebel Systems where he was a member of the founding team of the Universal Application Network (UAN) business unit which grew to a $40 million a year run rate in its first year. Deep received his Bachelors in Technology with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he was awarded the Institute Silver Medal. Deep also received a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School where he graduated with highest honors as a Baker Scholar.
